MEDICO-LEGAL AUDIOLOGY
Equilibrium’s audiologists offer comprehensive and objective hearing, tinnitus and vestibular assessments to support medico-legal proceedings, such as personal injury and motor vehicle accident claims. Our battery of tests can also assist in diagnosing whether an individual is experiencing hearing loss as a result of excessive exposure through workplace noise. This is known as a noise induced hearing loss (NIHL).
Over our years of practice, we have built a reputable reputation working with many medico-legal cases and providing highly professional and accurate audiological reports. We also work with expert ENTs and other specialists in the medico-legal field.
Some of the medico-legal audiological services that we offer are:
- Hearing testing, including pure tone audiograms, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, and speech audiometry
- Auditory brainstem response testing
- Tinnitus assessments, including pitch matching and masking
- Vestibular assessments (balance/dizziness) including oculomotor testing, vHIT, VEMP testing, electrocochleography, and functional balance tests
